Nashville transplant Meredith Rounsley combines a warm, soulful voice and rhythmic acoustic guitar with singer-songwriter sensibilities to craft songs about love, distance, and heartbreak. Her debut release, Weapon, was recorded in her home state of Maryland after a few years spent making music in Sydney, Australia.

Since then, she has toured the east coast consistently, with residences at favorite local venues, house concerts stretching from Canada to Georgia, and sets at esteemed singer-songwriter venues (Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Jammin’ Java, Gyspy Sally’s, Burlap and Bean). Her original music has been featured as a “New and Notable” release on Noisetrade and showcased at The Freeman Stage’s “Locals Under The Lights” event.

Whether performing solo or with a full band, Meredith’s penchant for storytelling and easygoing stage presence makes audiences feel right at home. “I believe that music should connect people,” she says, “whether that’s over a story, a song, or glass of wine. I want people come away from a show feeling like they have been a part of a community experience.”

Meredith has focused on creating that experience by hosting unique, intimate events for listeners no matter the venue. Each time, she brings the stories, honesty, and connection that Weapon showcases effortlessly.
